The Rehab Centre has been been put into two main categories; education and rehabilitation.
Our educational videos are a mixture of whiteboard videos that help explain the questions you put to us, mostly relating to different conditions, how they impact the body and what can be done to help you if you have that condition, and videos of us talking about the questions you put to us.
The rehabilitation section is split into 3 separate categories.
How to help the injured body part get moving again to promote optimal healing.
Once mobile, we want to show you exercises that will strengthen that body part.
This is the fine tuning. Proprioceptive training is done to help enhance the bodies ability to know where it is in a 3D environment, which in turn can decrease chances of an injury recurring.
Before trying out any of the videos, we recommend that you speak to a healthcare professional to get a proper diagnosis.
All the forces put on the body through walking go through the foot and ankle, and can end up travelling up and affecting other parts of the body like the knee, hip and lower back, so making sure you get the rehab right is important.
The knee is the largest joint in the human body but also one of the most vulnerable due to the lack of muscles that surround it. Therefore you want to make sure those that do, as well as the muscles and joints of the foot, ankle and hip are strong enough to aid the knee to function in whatever way it is required.
The hip is the largest weight bearing joint in the body.
I2.5 million people in the UK suffer from back pain every day in the UK. It can also be scary if it’s the first time you’re experiencing it. If you’re experiencing bad back pain we recommend speaking to a healthcare professional before trying out any of the following exercises.
